Under the patronage of HRH Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Al Baha Region, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture branch in Al Baha will hold the third Mango Festival next Monday at the central fruit and vegetable market in Al Makhwah Governorate, with the participation of farmers, government bodies and productive families.

The festival is part of efforts to support local agricultural products and stimulate economic and tourism activity in the governorates of the Tihama sector of the Al Baha region.

Supporting Farmers and Marketing Local Products

The festival aims to enable farmers to market their agricultural products and highlight the quality and variety of mango production in the Tihama governorates of Al Baha, which are seeing growing production of tropical fruit.

The event is also a platform for introducing the region's agricultural strengths and raising the economic value of local crops.

Varied Events and Marketing Corners

The two-day festival includes specialized corners for displaying and marketing mango varieties and agricultural products, along with awareness and cultural events and participation from productive families and artisans, stimulating commercial activity and attracting visitors and holidaymakers.

It also aims to support crafts and productive families and strengthen their presence in the region's seasonal events.

The Leadership's Support for Agriculture and Local Development

Eng. Fahd bin Miftah Al Zahrani, Director General of the ministry's Al Baha branch, thanked the Governor for his patronage of the festival, saying the support reflects the leadership's attention to developing the agricultural sector and strengthening economic and development initiatives in the region.

He said the festival extends the ministry's efforts to support food security and raise the agricultural sector's contribution to local development.

The Al Makhwah Mango Festival is one of the leading seasonal events spotlighting agricultural products in the Al Baha region, promoting agritourism and supporting the local economy by attracting visitors and lovers of natural products.
