The third International Conference on Legal and Sharia Studies opens in Jeddah from 3 to 5 July 2026 under the theme "Modern Systems and Trends", with leading academics, judges, lawyers, legal advisors and researchers from across the Arab and Islamic world.

The conference aims to keep pace with rapid developments in the legal and Sharia fields by presenting scholarly perspectives on legislative developments and digital transformation, while strengthening the exchange of expertise among specialists and reviewing the latest studies and research in the field.

This edition features 34 peer-reviewed research papers and studies, along with a set of scientific posters prepared by researchers and experts from universities, scientific institutions and specialized law firms, all subjected to academic review and published in the conference proceedings and approved digital repositories.

The conference addresses a number of specialized themes, most notably the development of judicial systems, governance, arbitration and investment, and international humanitarian law, as well as legislation related to digital transformation, artificial intelligence and cybercrime, along with issues of the objectives of Sharia and contemporary jurisprudence.

The program includes seven scientific sessions and specialized workshops, among them a workshop on intellectual property in Sharia and law, along with sessions examining the leading contemporary legal and intellectual issues, concluding with final recommendations that contribute to developing the legislative and legal environment.

In its third edition, the conference affirms its role as a scholarly platform that brings together Sharia foundations and modern legal practice, supporting academic dialogue and shaping solutions to the legal challenges posed by technological and legislative change.
