Amid a lively commercial and entertainment atmosphere, the Abha Shopping Festival 2024 kicks off on 19 June and runs for a month and a half over the summer holiday. The festival celebrates its 25th edition this year and features numerous summer entertainment activities aimed at visitors and residents of the Asir region.

The festival's general manager revealed that more than 16 countries are taking part, including India, China, the Philippines, Morocco, Pakistan, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Oman, Kuwait, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Kenya and Peru. The festival also includes numerous accompanying events featuring musical and performance troupes, with folk groups participating from Morocco, Jordan, Lebanon, Peru and Ukraine.

Festival organizers made a point of catering to the needs of families and children by setting up a world-class amusement park spanning more than 11,000 square meters, bringing in some of the world's most skilled circus performers, showcasing rare birds at a dedicated exhibition, and offering a PlayStation gaming lounge. Numerous pavilions and corners catering to family and household needs are also available.

In addition, the festival features dozens of restaurants and cafes offering an inviting environment for entertainment. The festival is open to visitors from 4:00 p.m. to midnight over its 45-day run.

The festival's general manager also noted that hundreds of gifts and in-kind prizes will be raffled off daily to visitors under the supervision of the Abha Chamber of Commerce, with grand prize draws held during the festival days.
