Riyadh Hosts Eighth FII Summit With Global Turnout Under the Theme Infinite Horizons
The eighth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII8) kicked off Tuesday in the Saudi capital Riyadh, with the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center hosting more than 5,000 guests and 500 speakers from the world of global investment, under the theme "Infinite Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow." The conference serves as an interactive platform for discussing major global economic issues and future challenges, with sessions covering topics such as Africa's role in the global economy, empowering women in leadership positions, economic stability, combating climate change, and innovation in artificial intelligence, health and geopolitical policy.
Richard Attias, CEO of the FII Institute, said the conference's new theme reflects an ambitious vision for a future that goes beyond traditional investment, calling for expanding horizons toward new possibilities that positively impact everyone's lives. Attias added that this edition will focus on how investment can become a pillar for a sustainable, prosperous future that serves humanity, reinforcing Riyadh's status as a global destination for decision-makers and investors.
Among the conference's leading speakers is Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Governor of the Public Investment Fund, who will take part in the opening session titled "Economic Geography: Agents of Change," addressing the major shifts underway in the global economic map. The conference's 200 sessions are expected to strengthen international partnerships and set out practical strategies for overcoming future challenges and driving sustainable development.
