The fourth edition of the Construction Technology Conference, Saudi Arabia 2024, held in Riyadh on October 23 at the Crowne Plaza RDC hotel, has concluded, bringing together more than 800 leaders in the construction sector, including contractors, developers and technology providers, alongside senior officials and decision-makers from Saudi Arabia and abroad. The event featured in-depth discussions on the latest transformative innovations in efficiency, performance and sustainability, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

Conference Sessions and Construction Technology Excellence Awards

This year's conference focused on vital areas such as operational performance, technical efficiency and sustainability, providing an interactive platform for attendees to review the sector's leading developments. The conference also included the presentation of 18 awards recognizing top achievements in digital transformation, sustainability and development in the sector, in what was one of the event's highlights, honoring creativity and excellence. Among the standout winners, Red Sea Global received the "BIM Application of the Year" award, while Atkins Realis won "Digital Design Firm of the Year."

Strategic Partnerships to Boost Innovation and Digitalization

The conference saw the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between the Saudi Contractors Authority and Ventures ONSITE, aimed at opening new avenues of cooperation to advance digitalization in the construction sector. Abdulmajeed Al-Rushoudi, Secretary-General of the Saudi Contractors Authority, emphasized the conference's importance as a leading platform for keeping pace with technical developments, saying: "We were keen to take part as an organizing body to support the digital transformation that represents a qualitative shift in the sector."

Supporting Innovation and Sustainability

The conference offered a platform to showcase the latest AI technologies, digital twins and cloud collaboration platforms that support the Kingdom's giga construction projects, valued at an estimated $1.25 trillion. It also highlighted the importance of smart digital solutions in achieving sustainable efficiency, bringing together a host of sponsors and technology partners such as Oracle, Wecap and Procore, along with numerous global and local companies supporting innovation in the sector.
