Riyadh hosts regional social security forum for Asia-Pacific nations
The Regional Social Security Forum for Asia and the Pacific opens tomorrow in Riyadh, under the patronage of Minister of Finance Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan. Running from December 3 to 5, 2024, and organized by the General Organization for Social Insurance, the forum will bring together heads of social security institutions, experts and decision-makers from more than 30 countries to discuss key challenges and opportunities in social protection.
An international platform for cooperation and knowledge-sharing
The forum aims to strengthen cooperation and share experiences among social security institutions in the region, focusing on digital transformation, financial sustainability and expanding insurance coverage. It offers an opportunity to showcase Saudi Arabia's leading experience in delivering innovative insurance products in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to improve social protection and boost cooperation between the public and private sectors.
Key themes and high-level sessions
The forum features discussion sessions on vital topics such as "Social Security in Asia and the Pacific: Progress, Priorities and Challenges." Sessions will open with a discussion on "Social Transformation in Saudi Arabia," in which the General Organization for Social Insurance will present its role in developing innovative strategies and products serving different generations.
The forum will also include an accompanying exhibition showcasing key transformations and strategic initiatives in social insurance, along with a high-level session on the final day bringing together senior officials to discuss regional social security policies.
