Alif Ya: First Saudi-Developed Individual Intelligence Scale Tailored to Arab Culture
Alif Ya: An Intelligence Scale Designed for Arab and Gulf Society
Alif Ya is an individual intelligence scale designed to assess general intelligence as well as other aspects such as giftedness, special needs and the clinical diagnosis of certain disorders, targeting Arab and Gulf society in particular. The scale is based on the latest scientific theories in the assessment of mental abilities.
The scale was developed using the latest technologies, allowing it to be used with audio and visuals on electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets and computers. It also allows the examiner to follow the test-taker's performance on a separate device, so the examiner can record precise notes on the test-taker's behavior.
The scale uses a game-based assessment methodology, relying on computer games built on adaptive testing principles. This makes it engaging and well suited to the digital generation, reducing boredom.
The launch of Alif Ya is a strong addition to scientific development, helping to determine individuals' intelligence levels accurately and objectively, and thereby contributing to better education and the development of individual and community abilities in Arab and Gulf society.
