Saudi-French Investment Forum concludes with new strategic partnerships
The Saudi-French Investment Forum concluded its work in Riyadh with the attendance of French President Emmanuel Macron, alongside senior Saudi and French officials, led by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, Minister of Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Tourism Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb, and a number of senior officials from both countries.
Strengthening the strategic partnership
In his opening remarks, the Minister of Investment said the forum marks a new era of Saudi-French cooperation amid rapid global change. He added that the forum aims to strengthen economic relations between the two countries, capped by the signing of a strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and France.
Key forum themes
The forum discussed a range of topics, including clean energy, digital transformation, cultural exchange and joint investment opportunities. Activities also included roundtable meetings focused on improving quality of life, infrastructure development, the entertainment sector, economic transformation and modern technology.
Signing agreements and memorandums of understanding
The forum saw the signing of numerous agreements and memorandums of understanding between Saudi and French institutions in the fields of energy, industry, the environment, transport, space and defense. These agreements aim to strengthen bilateral cooperation in vital sectors, supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and France's 2030 plan.
Workshops and bilateral meetings
Workshops held during the forum reviewed the investment environment in the Kingdom and business opportunities in emerging sectors. Bilateral meetings were also held between private sector representatives from both countries to strengthen partnerships and explore new areas of cooperation.
Held under the theme "Saudi Vision 2030 and France's 2030 Plan: Mutual Investment Across Both Visions," the forum reflects both countries' commitment to strengthening economic and investment cooperation across multiple fields.
