Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh region, the Awareness and Social Rehabilitation Association ("Awa'ie") is organizing the fifth edition of the Riyadh Social Forum under the theme "Legal Awareness," on December 8 and 9 at the Riyadh Movenpick hotel.

Legal awareness: a tool for development and stability

The forum focuses on promoting legal awareness as a key means of supporting preventive justice, reducing disputes and strengthening social stability. It aims to empower individuals and institutions to spread legal literacy, contributing to sustainable development and the development of mechanisms for addressing societal challenges.

Forum sessions

Day One:

  • "Legal Awareness and Its Role in Society": discussing the importance of legal literacy in strengthening social relations.
  • "Integrated Roles in Promoting Legal Awareness": reviewing initiatives and experiences to unify the efforts of various institutions.

Day Two:

  • "Tools and Mechanisms for Promoting Legal Awareness": presenting modern techniques and means for broadening legal understanding.
  • "The Role of Legal Awareness in Promoting Preventive Justice": focusing on the role of legal literacy in reducing disputes.
  • "Challenges to Spreading Legal Awareness": discussing obstacles and offering innovative solutions to overcome them.

Workshops

The forum includes specialized workshops on topics such as:

  • Developing legal studies in the nonprofit sector.
  • The role of mediation in dispute resolution.
  • Alternative training approaches in the legal field.

Abdulaziz Al-Roweeq, director of the Awa'ie association, said the forum represents a strategic platform for promoting legal literacy and achieving tangible impact at the individual and institutional levels. He added:
