The Tihama governorates in Baha region have completed preparations to launch the "Baha Winter Festival," having readied more than 67 parks and gardens and 14 walking and health trails to welcome visitors during the winter season. The festival offers an exceptional winter experience combining stunning nature, mild weather, and a variety of recreational and cultural activities.

Featured Tourist Destinations:

  • Al-Mikhwah governorate:
    Home to landmarks such as Dhee Ain Village and Ushm Village, as well as parks including Al-Shawq and Al-Hankah. It is also known for Al-Ahsabah Valley, a major destination for park-goers.
  • Qilwah governorate:
    Home to heritage sites such as Al-Khalaf and Al-Khalif villages, alongside Al-Farshah and Al-Muhammadiyah parks, and extensive valleys and farms offering stunning natural scenery.
  • Al-Hajrah governorate:
    Notable for its strategic location northwest of Baha, it includes landmarks such as Al-Qahib Park, and Al-Hajrah Valley, known for its water features and natural beauty.
  • Ghamid Al-Zinad governorate:
    Enjoys a mild climate year-round and includes Al-Burj, Al-Hamra and Al-Hasho parks, along with stunning mountain highlands.

Festival Activities:

Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Sawat, mayor of Baha region and head of the festival's executive committee, said the festival will feature more than 280 varied events, including:

  • Recreational and cultural activities.
  • Sports and social events.
  • Activities designed for all age groups.

He added that the climatic and environmental diversity of the Tihama sector, which stretches from the Red Sea coast in the west to the peaks of the Sarawat mountains in the east, makes the region a distinctive tourist destination.
