Tabuk, 11 February 2025 — The Prince Fahd bin Sultan Chair for the Study and Development of Youth Issues at the University of Tabuk launched today the First Cultural and Arts Forum, with University President Prof. Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ghamdi in attendance, along with a number of relevant government and private sector bodies.

A Platform for Creativity and Cultural Dialogue

The two-day forum, held in the lobby of the University of Tabuk's Medicine Hall, aims to strengthen the role of culture and the arts in developing youth capabilities, create a platform for cultural and creative dialogue, and support innovation across various artistic fields. The event brings together artists, academics and young creatives, as part of Saudi Vision 2030's drive to empower youth and boost their participation in building a sustainable, developed society.

Varied Activities Spanning the Arts

The forum includes several tracks and pavilions, among them: visual arts (drawing, photography, sculpture and 3D design); literature and creative writing (literary sessions, poetry and storytelling performances); digital arts (graphic design, interactive art, digital displays); and handicrafts (traditional and creative industries).

Empowering Youth, Nurturing Their Talents

Dr. Yasser bin Ahmed Al-Marzouq, supervisor of the Prince Fahd bin Sultan Chair for Youth Studies, said the forum is an important step in highlighting the vital role of culture and the arts in honing youth skills and giving them opportunities to express their aspirations and ambitions, noting that the event aims to empower young people and build bridges between them and educational and cultural institutions, while giving them the chance to showcase their work and creativity.
