The World Rose and Aromatic Plants Forum, in its first edition, concluded its scientific program held at Taif University's theater, with sessions drawing notable attendance from academics, specialists and those interested in the agricultural and aromatic plants sector, amid a wealth of knowledge focused on the future of Taif rose as a promising economic and pharmaceutical resource.

The scientific activities included six specialized workshops discussing precise themes, including:

  • The benefits of Taif rose in combating aging
  • The role of rose in pharmacology and natural therapy
  • Opportunities and challenges in producing and distilling Taif rose
  • Innovation in manufacturing care products extracted from aromatic plants

A dialogue session titled "The Role of the University and the Rose Research Chair in Developing the Sector" reviewed the advanced research experience of Taif University's Rose and Aromatic Plants Research Chair and its role in the scientific and commercial transformation of local rose production.

In a second session titled "The Future of Rose and Aromatic Plant Industries," experts from China and India presented notable papers discussing international experiences in cultivating and manufacturing aromatic plants, and ways to develop research and investment cooperation with the Kingdom.

The forum's recreational and cultural activities continue until April 26 at Al-Rudaf Park, with ongoing live shows, competitions, aromatic product exhibitions and interactive activities enriching the experience for visitors of all ages, amid a floral atmosphere infused with Taif's authentic fragrance.
