King Abdulaziz University launched today the first edition of the King Fahd Medical Research Center conference under the theme "Improving Quality of Life through Research and Innovation," at the center's headquarters in Jeddah. The event was attended by university president Dr. Tarif bin Yousef Al-Amoudi, along with a number of scientists, researchers and experts from inside and outside the Kingdom.

The five-day conference brings together more than 100 speakers, representing leading specialists in medicine and research, across 20 specialized scientific sessions, alongside a display of more than 300 research posters showcasing the latest innovations and findings in the biomedical field.

A Comprehensive Scientific Conference to Advance Healthcare

The conference is an advanced scientific platform aimed at showcasing the latest research and technologies across several fields, including:

  • Hematology and oncology
  • Infectious diseases and epidemics
  • Neuroscience and aging
  • Chronic diseases and biotechnology
  • Toxicology, forensic science and radiology
  • Advanced technologies and medical innovation

A Leading Scientific Center for More Than Four Decades

The conference comes in the context of the pioneering role played by the King Fahd Medical Research Center since its founding 46 years ago, during which it has made an effective contribution to advancing medical scientific research, achieving accomplishments that have won international awards, and raising community health awareness.

Research Cooperation Toward a Knowledge Economy

The center places particular emphasis on strengthening cooperation at the local, regional and international levels to accelerate technology transfer, localize innovation, and develop Saudi expertise, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to build a knowledge economy and improve quality of life.
