The curtain fell last night on the first stage of the WBC Boxing Grand Prix, hosted by Riyadh over four days in Boulevard City. The event drew large crowds and extensive media coverage, featuring 128 boxers from more than 40 countries in a global sporting spectacle.

Fierce Knockout-Style Competition

Sixty-four bouts took place at the Super Globe arena, with boxers competing across four WBC-sanctioned weight categories:

  • Featherweight
  • Super Lightweight
  • Middleweight
  • Heavyweight

Sixty-four boxers advanced to the tournament's second stage, also set to take place in Riyadh from 20 to 22 June 2025, which will feature 32 decisive bouts to determine the finalists.

A Global Tournament with Ambitious Saudi Vision

The tournament is organized in partnership between the World Boxing Council and Riyadh Season, part of an ambitious global project aimed at discovering a new generation of boxing champions and raising the level of global competition under one of combat sport's most storied institutions.

The tournament continues in August and October 2025, building toward the grand finale on 20 December 2025, which will feature four championship bouts to crown world champions in each weight category, cementing Riyadh's status as the official home of the WBC Grand Prix titles.
