Buraidah, May 26, 2025 (28 Dhu al-Qa'dah 1446 AH) — In a scene reflecting continued care for those who memorize the Book of God, His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim region, patronized a ceremony honoring 50 outstanding students in the "Buds of the Quran" program, held at Prince Abdul-Ilah bin Abdulaziz Mosque in Buraidah, in the presence of the region's deputy governor, Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad, along with a number of officials and religious and educational leaders in the region.

The Governor of Qassim expressed pride in patronizing this blessed Quranic occasion, which showcases the fruits of efforts to teach and have young generations memorize the Holy Quran, praising the role of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs branch, Quran memorization associations, and teachers in the success of these quality programs, describing them as a blessed investment in young people so they may become bearers and ambassadors of the Book of God.

His Highness also affirmed that the Kingdom's care and support for memorization circles is among God's manifest blessings that warrant gratitude, highlighting the role of the wise leadership in supporting Quran memorizers and spreading the Quran globally.

Dr. Ali Al-Yahya, head of the Quran Memorization Association in Buraidah, thanked the prince for his continued patronage of the memorization circles, affirming that this support serves as a strong motivator for all participating students and teachers. Dr. Abdullah Al-Juwaibri, director of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs branch in Qassim, also praised the prince's ongoing support and his keen interest in visiting and following up on the circles.

The ceremony concluded with the honoring of outstanding "buds" in recognition of their excellence in memorization and review, reinforcing values of fair competition among young people around the Quran.

"Buds of the Quran" is one of the prominent Ramadan initiatives launched by Qassim's emirate, benefiting this year more than 2,800 male and female participants through 78 memorization circles, supervised by more than 150 teachers, in an integrated model reflecting educational investment in youth and instilling Quranic values in them from an early age.
