Riyadh, May 29, 2025 (2 Dhu al-Hijjah 1446 AH) — The Culinary Arts Commission concluded the sixth edition of its "Kawn" incubator, one of its key strategic initiatives to support innovation and entrepreneurship in the Kingdom's culinary sector, with the participation of more than 20 new Saudi startups, raising the total number of projects incubated since the program's launch to 120 — reflecting the commission's commitment to developing the culinary sector as a promising professional and economic field.

This edition set record numbers in training and empowerment, with 148 specialized workshops delivered, more than 190 entrepreneurs recruited, over 7,000 hours of hands-on training provided, and 3,500 hours of specialized consulting delivered with the participation of local and international experts from more than 50 supporting entities and institutions.

The sixth edition featured hands-on field presentations and temporary operational projects through programs such as "Culinary Challenge" and "Kawn Lab," giving participants the chance to test their ideas in front of investors and the public and turn them into scalable concepts — producing a number of genuine success stories and entrepreneurial projects aligned with the Kingdom's economic and cultural trends.

The commission affirmed that "Kawn" is no longer just an incubator but a comprehensive enabling platform that strengthens the capabilities of Saudi entrepreneurs in the culinary sector and opens doors for them to become owners of impactful ventures, through advanced training and applied tools, and local and global partnerships that support the integration of creativity and investment.

Through this initiative, the Culinary Arts Commission seeks to establish the culinary sector as an active pillar of the creative economy, achieving Saudi Vision 2030 targets of diversifying income sources, empowering national talent, and exporting the Saudi culinary experience to global platforms.
