Makkah, June 3, 2025 (7 Dhu al-Hijjah 1446H) — As part of efforts to strengthen media integration and coordination among government bodies, the Government Communication Centre at the Ministry of Media held the first edition of the "GRID Meeting," among the events accompanying the Hajj Media Forum 1446H, with the participation of representatives from bodies linked to the unified media programme "GRID," a comprehensive national platform supporting government communication performance.

The meeting aims to open a regular space for interaction and the exchange of media expertise, and to showcase the best practices and experiences implemented by participating bodies, helping raise the efficiency of national media performance, unify the communication message, and maximise its impact in conveying the Kingdom's image and achievements to the world, especially during major seasons such as Hajj.

In a speech during the meeting, Bayan Al-Juhani, Director General of Government Relations Management at the Government Communication Centre, explained that the "GRID" unified media programme, launched in 2018, has become an effective coordination tool supporting more than 270 government bodies, and contributes to developing digital presence, communication planning and joint media production.

She added that the platform has undergone significant digital transformation, not limited to its technical infrastructure but extending to improving working methods, reviewing plans and developing coverage and media-impact mechanisms, under the unifying goal: "One Message, One Nation."

The meeting included the presentation of success stories from the government media landscape. The Ministry of Interior presented its "No Hajj Without a Permit" campaign, focused on behavioural-influence strategies; the Ministry of Health presented its "Hajj Shades" campaign, a model for raising awareness of heat protection; the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah presented its experience communicating with pilgrims in multiple languages to ensure messages were understood; and Snapchat presented on public engagement and creative content during the Hajj season, delivered by Mohammed Hanbash.

The Government Communication Centre confirmed that the "GRID Meeting" will be held regularly, to serve as a knowledge platform that enriches media content and supports government integration in telling the nation's story professionally and effectively.
