The sixth Perfume Makers Exhibition 2023 is being held on King Abdulaziz Road in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in the events tent at the Al Qubbah grounds. The exhibition runs from July 25 to August 7, corresponding to 7 to 20 Muharram 1445 AH.

The exhibition follows the success of the fourth edition, which set records for visitor numbers and sales and featured Saudi manufacturers. Exhibition director Hatem Al-Qurashi said the event will give young Saudis and stores specializing in perfume making an opportunity to exchange expertise and ideas in the trade of perfume and incense products, which will benefit both the local market and the end consumer.

Perfume making is a promising industry in Saudi Arabia, where each person consumes 2.5 liters of perfume a year, compared with 300 ml in Europe, making the Saudi market one of the largest perfume-consuming markets in the world. Sales in the Middle East account for about 70% of the revenue of some global perfume companies.

Methods for blending fine perfumes vary from place to place, but the best-known perfume factories in Saudi Arabia rely on advanced equipment to blend and manufacture fragrances. The required concentration for each perfume is set, and the machines are fed with the necessary ingredients, whether aromatic oils, perfumer's alcohol or fixatives. The machines then place the required quantity of each ingredient into the perfume bottle, producing it with precision.
