The event is organised by the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Madinah region, in cooperation with the governorate's Fishermen's Cooperative Society, and runs over five days, spotlighting the marine wealth and the economic and investment opportunities offered by the Red Sea, through educational, entertainment and heritage events that blend authenticity with modernity.

"Bahhar 2" features more than 33 sales outlets designed in the style of coastal Hejazi architecture, where participants display the finest fresh fish and popular seafood dishes, with the participation of home-based businesses from Yanbu, alongside local fishermen who share their inspiring experiences with those interested in entering the fishing sector.

The festival also includes a dedicated pavilion for marine tools featuring a range of boats and engines, and a "People of the Craft" pavilion highlighting traditional marine handicrafts as part of the "Year of Handicrafts 2025" celebrations, in addition to an "Ihya Sana'a" (Reviving a Craft) corner presenting heritage products in a modern style, boosting the cultural and economic draw for visitors.

The festival also hosts a children's theatre featuring entertainment activities and gift-giving, in addition to daily workshops on fisheries and aquaculture, aimed at sharing knowledge and building skills for visitors and enthusiasts.

The festival brings together a number of government bodies and private-sector companies to present the financing and logistical opportunities available to investors and fishermen, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to support the blue economy, empower national talent, and boost sustainable investment in the fishing sector.
