In a step toward strengthening scientific culture and enabling innovation, King Salman Science Oasis held a science forum today titled "National Science and Technology Festivals Initiative," presenting the ambitious goals of a program designed to embed science and technology in public awareness through fun, hands-on educational events and festivals aimed at all age groups across the Kingdom's regions.

The forum was attended by several strategic partners from educational and development bodies, including the National Institute for Professional Educational Development and the National Center for Curriculum Development, alongside representatives from regional education departments and the non-profit sector. Participants offered wide-ranging input on how to activate the initiative and align it with the requirements of national transformation and the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

Speakers affirmed that the initiative is one of King Salman Science Oasis's strategic programs, carrying a national dimension in support of the educational environment and in fostering a passion for knowledge and science among young people. It also helps activate the education system's role in preparing a creative generation able to compete globally in technology, research and innovation.

The forum also featured proposals to give young people access to interactive scientific experiences, and discussed partnership opportunities between educational institutions, research and development centers and the non-profit sector, supporting an integrated approach to building a robust, comprehensive scientific ecosystem across the Kingdom.

Notably, the "National Science and Technology Festivals Initiative" aims to organize educational and scientific festivals in every region of the Kingdom by 2030, focused on making science and technology more accessible and promoting a culture of discovery and experimentation — creating sustained scientific momentum in society that helps build a strong knowledge economy.
