The "From Stillness to the Future" event, organized by the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE), concluded at the Mishkat Interactive Center in Riyadh, offering an innovative scientific experience that introduced visitors to the concepts of renewable and nuclear energy and their importance in building a sustainable future, through interactive content combining education, excitement and hands-on experience.

The event came as part of the "Sukoon" ("Stillness") awareness initiative, held from June 29 to July 3, 2025, reflecting the Kingdom's move toward clean energy and building community awareness of energy and its sources, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

Knowledge Stations That Simplify Science and Build Awareness

The event featured scientific displays and hands-on experiences for all ages, including:

  • "Energy Mix": a scientific display explaining the difference between renewable and non-renewable energy sources and how to achieve an ideal mix for electricity generation.
  • "Nuclear Energy Challenge": an introductory workshop on the clothing and tools used in the nuclear field, with exploratory and hands-on activities.
  • "Nuclear Show" and educational films such as "Demetri's World" and "To Planet X," along with an interactive children's story titled "The Energy Journey."
  • An interactive cart introducing energy basics for ages 6 and up, with a drawing workshop and a craft activity building a toy powered by renewable sources.

The event offered a rich experience connecting children, teens and adults with the world of energy in creative ways, helping them grasp technical and scientific concepts with ease, and contributing to building a knowledgeable, innovative society aware of energy and sustainability issues.
