Jazan University, represented by its College of Industrial Applications in Baish governorate, has launched its Summer Enrichment Program for 2025, timed to coincide with World Youth Skills Day, in a targeted move to develop students' applied and professional skills and prepare them to smoothly enter the Kingdom's industrial job market.

The program targets more than 260 students from various industrial disciplines through three integrated tracks carefully designed to deliver a comprehensive academic and field-based learning experience, in cooperation with local industrial partners from the public and private sectors.

At a Glance

  • Track one: intensive courses run with the Royal Commission Academy in Jazan City for Basic and Transformational Industries, focused on strategic areas such as industrial English, quality, safety, planning and manufacturing.
  • Track two: field-based training through organized visits to major factories and industrial companies, letting students experience professional life first-hand and gain direct practical exposure.
  • Track three: short-term applied projects carried out under the supervision of specialists from industrial companies, cementing theoretical concepts through real-world application.

Aligning education with industrial demand. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Musa Khamaj, dean of the College of Industrial Applications in Baish, said the program reflects the university's commitment to linking education outcomes with the needs of the industrial sector by preparing young national talent and boosting their professional readiness, strengthening their competitiveness in the job market in support of Saudi Vision 2030's goals of localizing jobs and enhancing local content.

The program is part of a wider series of initiatives Jazan University is launching to equip its students with the skills required in basic and transformational industries and to achieve greater integration between education and employment.
