The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information has achieved a new international milestone, winning the Best Pavilion award at the 2025 Esri User Conference, held in San Diego, United States, from July 15 to 18, with wide international participation from specialists in the field.

The award recognized the geospatial pavilion's outstanding presentation of Saudi Arabia's leading efforts to build advanced national geospatial infrastructure, reflecting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 across its various themes — historical depth, investment strength and strategic geographic location — alongside a spotlight on major development projects and the role geospatial information plays in supporting and enabling them.

National leadership in the geospatial field. The pavilion offered a comprehensive presentation of the Kingdom's experience in geospatial data governance and the development of national policies and standards in line with global best practice, in addition to its efforts to build national human capacity, encourage geospatial research and innovation, and highlight the importance of integrating geospatial information with modern technologies to support decision-makers and drive digital transformation.

The pavilion drew notable interest from thought leaders, experts and specialists in the geospatial field from around the world, who praised the progress the Kingdom has achieved on global indicators and its regional and international leadership in this vital sector.

Government integration and international participation. The pavilion featured contributions from a number of Saudi government bodies, which presented their initiatives, services and products related to the sector — reflecting a spirit of national integration and a commitment to representing the Kingdom well at specialized international forums, cementing its status as a leader in geospatial transformation.

The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information is responsible for regulating the surveying, mapping and geospatial information sector within the Kingdom, and works to strengthen international cooperation and represent the Kingdom in relevant organizations and committees, supporting alignment with global developments and local development policies.
