In a moment blending natural beauty with scientific depth, the "AlUla Moments" team, in cooperation with the "AlUla Astronomy Club," organized a field astronomy event titled "Wonders of AlUla's Sky," held last evening at Arch Rock, one of AlUla's most prominent natural landmarks. The event drew a number of astronomy enthusiasts, alongside notable attendance from AlUla's residents and visitors, in an open scientific atmosphere that boosts community awareness of the world of space.

The event centered on observing the Milky Way galaxy during one of the best viewing periods of the month, in a natural setting made ideal by the region's low light pollution, giving attendees a special opportunity to view stars in striking detail. The astronomical observation also included tracking phenomena such as meteor showers and the North Star, with live scientific explanations from club members.

Viewing the planet Saturn and its rings through astronomical telescopes added an educational and interactive dimension to the experience, as visitors were able to observe the planet's details and engage with a simplified explanation of observation methods and the formation of the solar system.

The accompanying program included interactive sessions and simplified scientific explanations covering advanced astronomical topics such as galaxy formation, the importance of observation in natural sites, and concepts related to light, darkness, and the impact of artificial lighting on the visible sky.

This event is part of a series of programs the "AlUla Moments" team runs throughout the year, within a vision aimed at establishing a culture of science and discovery outside traditional classrooms, and enabling the community to directly engage with natural science concepts in an engaging, inspiring way, reinforcing AlUla's status not only as a heritage and tourism destination, but also as a distinguished scientific and exploration platform.
