AlUla governorate is preparing to host an exceptional astronomy event in two days, organized by the "AlUla Manara" team, to observe the Perseid meteor shower at its peak, amid the breathtaking natural scenery that has made AlUla one of the world’s leading recognized destinations for stargazing within designated "Dark Sky" areas.

The event gives astronomy enthusiasts the chance to enjoy watching meteors burn up in the atmosphere, led by a team of amateur specialists in observing celestial phenomena, with the option to bring personal telescopes for a closer view of the unique astronomical spectacle, in addition to photographing the meteors streaking across the sky over Harrat AlUla.

The event falls under the "Wonders of AlUla’s Sky" program, offered year-round by the AlUla Manara team, encompassing a variety of activities aimed at spreading astronomical culture, introducing visitors to rare celestial sights, and enhancing tourism experiences tied to nature and the night sky in this uniquely historic and cultural destination.
