The in-person phase of the "Asir Tabtakir" (Asir Innovates) hackathon launches tomorrow at the exhibition center of King Khalid University in Al-Far’a, running for three days with the participation of 30 teams from across the Kingdom’s regions, following a preparatory virtual phase that helped participants sharpen their skills and develop their ideas into practical, implementable projects.
The event includes an accompanying exhibition featuring 12 pavilions for the initiative’s partners, in addition to interactive panel discussions featuring prominent speakers and judges in technology and entrepreneurship, as well as specialized workshops aimed at fostering innovative thinking and broadening participants’ horizons, in an interactive environment that encourages creativity and teamwork.
The "Asir Tabtakir" hackathon serves as a national platform bringing together innovators, entrepreneurs and developers, alongside visitors and technology enthusiasts from the local community, to devise solutions supporting diverse sectors — from government services to smart technologies and environmental and development projects.
The event is organized as part of efforts to strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Asir region, support creative youth, and open the door for them to develop practical solutions that achieve sustainable development, in line with Saudi Vision 2030’s goals of empowering national talent and adopting modern technologies.
