BURAIDAH, 23 August 2025 — The Buraidah Dates Festival continues to attract thousands of visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom, combining morning date auctions — considered the largest seasonal global market for dates — with cultural and entertainment events hosted by the King Khalid Civilization Center in the evening.

In the early morning hours, the market square fills with farmers, traders and shoppers displaying the finest date varieties and holding daily auctions, in a massive economic scene that reflects Buraidah's standing as a global capital for dates and a key hub for their trade.

In the evening, the King Khalid Civilization Center transforms into a comprehensive tourism and cultural destination, with activities ranging from pavilions for productive families, exhibitions of rare dates, awareness and health corners, to theatrical shows for children, Saudi folklore represented in the "Ardah" dance, along with outdoor seating, entertainment areas, cafés and food trucks.

The festival offers visitors a distinctive tourism experience through "tourist bus" tours that showcase Buraidah's most prominent landmarks, starting from the dates market, passing through the heritage farms of Al-Sabbakh, and reaching the historic Al-Jardah market, reinforcing local heritage and cementing the city's standing in the memory of the palm tree and the date.
