Buraidah Dates Festival Enters Its Golden Phase Amid Abundant Production and Varied Harvests
BURAIDAH, 28 August 2025 — The Buraidah Dates Festival has entered its golden phase with the arrival of the second harvest batch, coinciding with the start of the second quarter of the agricultural season, considered the peak period for date abundance and high quality.
This phase has seen a growing influx of vehicles loaded with various date varieties, exceeding 100 types, amid rising demand and diverse supply, with moderate prices, reflecting the strength of trading activity and the market's economic and food importance locally, regionally and globally.
The festival aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing the agricultural sector and boosting food security, as well as marketing Qassim's date products and investing in the region's agricultural, heritage, tourism and entertainment assets to offer a comprehensive experience for visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom.
The festival also includes a variety of events, including exhibitions of processing industries and products of productive families and craftspeople, alongside poetry evenings, folk troupe performances, and a dedicated area for children and visual arts.
