AlUla – 11 Rabi' al-Awwal 1447 AH, corresponding to September 3, 2025. AlUla governorate is preparing to welcome a rare celestial event next Sunday evening, as the "AlUla Manara" team organizes a special science event to observe a lunar eclipse, combining visual spectacle with scientific insight.

The event gives visitors a chance to watch the moon pass through Earth's shadow and turn a deep red in the striking phenomenon known as a "blood moon," with live explanations of the eclipse's stages and how it occurs, alongside a look at the scientific and astronomical dimensions of the phenomenon.

Attendees will be able to observe the sky using the team's own telescopes, in a hands-on experience that deepens visitors' interest in astronomy and opens up new horizons for understanding the precise workings of the cosmos.

The initiative is part of the "AlUla Manara" team's efforts to spread astronomical culture and organize events and educational programs aimed at raising community awareness of cosmic phenomena, and connecting them to values of reflection on the greatness of the Creator.
