Madinah – September 14, 2025 (22 Rabi al-Awwal 1447 AH)
The "Dhat Nakhl" premium dates forum in Madinah, held over several days, concluded with a distinguished academic program featuring two seminars that highlighted the historical and cultural legacy of the palm tree and its role in shaping local and religious identity.

First seminar: "Palms Between Yathrib and Madinah." Researcher and expert in the history and landmarks of the Prophet's biography Izz al-Din Mohammed Al-Meski examined the pivotal role palm trees played in the life of the people of Yathrib and the impact of Madinah's dates on survival and prosperity, surveying the historical and social dimensions of the palm tree through the ages.

Second seminar: "Palms in Heritage." Heritage researcher and head of the Madinah History Club Adnan Al-Amri delivered a talk focused on the presence of palm trees in the Quran and the Sunnah, in addition to their symbolism in heritage and social life as an authentic element of Islamic culture and local identity.

Both seminars were held at Madinah's Food City, closing out a series of seminars and panel discussions the forum hosted since it opened on September 9, which brought together a select group of researchers, experts and date industry enthusiasts.

The forum reaffirms Madinah's standing as home to some of the finest dates in the world and a key destination for marketing and developing the date industry, strengthening its presence in local and global markets in line with Saudi Vision 2030's goal of diversifying the national economy and supporting the agriculture and food sectors.
