Al-Musaad: Oversight and Assurance Are Twin Pillars for Advancing Saudi Vision 2030 Goals at the Governance, Risk and Compliance Forum 2025

Abdulaziz Al-Musaad, director general of the General Department of Governance, Risk and Compliance at the Ministry of Finance, took part in the Governance, Risk and Compliance Forum 2025, held in Riyadh with the participation of a select group of specialists and experts from various government and private sectors, to discuss ways to develop governance practices and strengthen risk and compliance systems in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
During a session titled "Oversight and Assurance as an Enabler for Achieving Saudi Vision 2030," Al-Musaad said institutional oversight and assurance are a fundamental pillar for achieving efficiency and effectiveness in government work, highlighting their central role in strengthening sound governance principles and instilling values of transparency and accountability at the institutional level.
Al-Musaad explained that activating oversight and assurance systems helps raise institutional performance and improve the quality of outcomes, while enabling entities to handle risks and challenges with greater flexibility, boosting investor and public confidence and keeping pace with the comprehensive economic and administrative transformation underway in the Kingdom.
He added that building an integrated governance, risk and compliance system strengthens financial and operational sustainability and is a key element in achieving the goals of Vision 2030, stressing that the Ministry of Finance places great importance on developing these systems in line with global best practices.
The forum's sessions covered a number of specialized topics in institutional oversight, risk management and compliance, reviewing successful experiences in strengthening governance principles in the public and private sectors, and their role in attracting investment, raising institutional efficiency, and boosting confidence in local and international markets, supporting the Kingdom's national transformation drive and its pursuit of sustainable development.
