Makkah Education Joins "Mathematics, Language of Science" Festival With 12 Science Pavilions to Spark Student Creativity
Makkah — 9 Jumada al-Awwal 1447 AH / 31 October 2025.
The General Directorate of Education in the Makkah region took part in the "Mathematics, Language of Science" festival, organized by King Salman Science Oasis, through 12 interactive science pavilions in which male and female students presented a range of activities and experiments designed to nurture creativity and innovation. The festival forms part of the National Initiative to Discover Passion and Unleash Capabilities in Science and Technology, and is being held at King Saud Hall in Makkah.
The participation reflects Makkah Education's efforts to motivate students toward creativity in science and technology, and to boost their involvement in major national events, helping build a generation capable of scientific thinking and applied innovation.
Running until 30 November 2025, the festival aims to highlight the role of mathematics as a core pillar of sustainable scientific progress and to support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in building globally competitive generations, while also reshaping the stereotype of mathematics from a purely theoretical subject into a tool that connects the sciences and drives innovation and scientific research.
The festival also seeks to strengthen scientific culture, raise awareness of basic sciences, build a national scientific identity, introduce students to future educational and career opportunities in priority fields, encourage family and community involvement in supporting children's learning, and promote the values of innovation, entrepreneurship and future skills.
The "Mathematics, Language of Science" festival is held under the National Initiative to Discover Passion and Unleash Capabilities in Science and Technology, a strategic partnership between the Ministry of Education and King Salman Science Oasis aimed at empowering gifted students and developing national capabilities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
