Al Baha Winter Festival opens with 250 events to boost the region's status as a winter tourism destination
📍 Al Baha – 26 Jumada al-Awwal 1447 AH, corresponding to November 17, 2025
The governorates of Al Baha's Tihama sector have completed preparations for the launch of the Al Baha Winter Festival 2025, with more than 40 government and private entities taking part and over 250 diverse events planned spanning entertainment, culture, sport, social activities and tourism, reinforcing Al Baha's standing as a leading winter tourism destination.
The effort comes in response to directives from HRH Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al Baha Region and Chairman of the Festival's Supreme Committee, who called for upgrading infrastructure, improving cities, preparing parks and gardens, and empowering operating companies to ensure the region is ready to welcome visitors throughout the season.
Municipalities across the Tihama sector carried out 969 inspection tours of accommodation facilities, markets and service establishments, alongside landscaping more than 33,000 square meters of green space, refurbishing 70,000 square meters of public gardens, and maintaining play equipment, public facilities and lighting, to ensure the highest level of readiness for the events.
Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Sawat, head of the festival's executive committee and governor of the region, said the festival will launch in early December across the Tihama sector and the governorates of Al-Sarah, Al-Aqiq, Baljurashi and Bani Hassan, and will run until the holy month of Ramadan, offering a wide range of heritage, tourism and agricultural events that showcase Al Baha's natural and cultural assets.
