The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (formerly the Communications and Information Technology Commission) is the official body responsible for regulating the telecom and information technology sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was established to develop the sector in line with national goals and the ambitious Vision 2030, under Cabinet Decision No. 74 dated 5 Jumada al-Awwal 1422 AH (26 July 2001), as the sector's regulatory and supervisory reference in the Kingdom.
The commission sets the regulations and public policies that ensure high-quality telecom and IT services and a fair competitive environment among service providers. It also seeks to boost investment in the sector and provides technical advice and strategic guidance to government and private bodies.
