The commission works along several main lines, including promoting reading through cultural and knowledge events, providing training and educational programs for librarians, and developing library management systems. It also seeks partnerships with local and international institutions to increase cultural resources and collections and exchange expertise.
The Libraries Commission also organizes and manages initiatives to improve the user experience, such as digitizing collections, updating databases and making information and research easily and effectively accessible.
