The Jeddah Chamber hosts the Construction Site Safety and Public Health Forum 2026 on 23 July 2026, organized by the Urban Development Council at Al Jafali Hall in the chamber's main building, with contractors, engineers, construction specialists and relevant bodies taking part.
The forum aims to raise awareness of the main hazards facing construction sites, introduce the requirements and conditions set out in the construction site work guide, discuss the main challenges facing the sector's workforce, and present practical solutions that strengthen safety and public health on construction projects.
The forum takes place amid the rapid growth of the Kingdom's construction sector, driven by major development projects, as occupational safety has become a core element in ensuring project sustainability, protecting workers and improving the quality of delivery to global best practices.
The program covers a number of important themes, including the main hazards and accidents at work sites and how to reduce them, the regulatory systems and requirements, and solutions that help contractors and executing bodies raise the efficiency of risk management and achieve safer working environments.
The forum also provides a platform for exchanging expertise among contractors, engineers, consultants and occupational safety and health officers, strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors and supporting a culture of prevention and compliance with regulatory standards on urban projects.
The forum underscores the importance of investing in occupational safety as a key factor in raising project efficiency, reducing accidents and strengthening the sustainability of the construction sector in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
