The Emirate of Hail Region organised the "Hirfa" festival at the historic Al-Qishlah Palace from 5 to 11 January 2025 under the patronage of the Governor, as the first festival to coincide with the launch of the Year of Handicrafts 2025, with more than 130 artisans from the region's governorates and over 80 volunteers.
The festival showcased palm-frond weaving, carpentry, sadu weaving, incense-burner making, old doors, mud building, pottery and wood engraving, with corners on the rock art of Jubbah and Shuwaymis, cultural evenings and folk shows, and drew more than 91,000 visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom.
