The 12th Saudi Film Festival was held at the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) in Dhahran from 26 June to 2 July 2026, organised by the Cinema Association in partnership with Ithra and supported by the Film Commission, under the theme "Every Story Is a Journey", after moving from its usual season to June.
The festival received 314 submissions, with six feature films competing in the official competition alongside shorts and documentaries, and paid tribute to director Haifaa Al-Mansour, with a programme of seminars, filmmaking workshops and a production market.
