The first edition of the Translation Association Conference has opened in Riyadh under the theme “Translation in a Changing World,” organized by the Translation Association in partnership with the College of Languages and Translation at King Saud University.
The conference brings together researchers, academics, professionals, and officials to discuss major developments shaping the translation sector and explore the future of the profession.
More Than 18 Research Papers and 12 Workshops
The conference program features two main sessions, more than 18 research papers, and 12 workshops, alongside an accompanying exhibition with participation from more than 15 organizations.
The conference and its activities are expected to benefit more than 300 participants, combining academic discussions, professional practices, workshops, and opportunities for knowledge exchange.
Technology and Innovation in Translation
Key topics include the future of translation and the impact of technology and innovation on professional practices, as well as the role of scientific research in advancing the sector.
Discussions also focus on strengthening links between academic outcomes and labor-market requirements, helping ensure that education and research respond to the evolving needs of translation professionals.
