Al-Matal is a new leisure destination created by Madinah Region Municipality in the Al-Jamawat district on a main street linking the city centre with Al-Aziziyah, inaugurated in July 2025 on more than 56,000 square metres, with a panoramic view from three mountain sides over the western districts and the Prophet's Mosque.
It offers a promenade and cycle paths, 98 commercial units of cafés, restaurants and shops, two prayer halls, six kiosks and more than 340 parking spaces, and has become one of the city's leading spots for family evenings.
