Hail Pilgrims City is a service complex built on more than 25,000 square metres on the road linking Al-Jouf, Rafha, Hail and Madinah, to receive pilgrims arriving overland from Iraq and the northern countries, reviving Hail's historic role as a main station on the Iraqi pilgrimage route, Darb Zubaydah.
During the Hajj season the city provides an integrated system of health, security, organisational, guidance and hospitality services through cooperation between government bodies and volunteer teams, and in the 1447 AH season it bid farewell to the last Iraqi convoys after receiving thousands of pilgrims.
