A Scientific Journey Dating Back to 1977
The institution’s early roots date to November 29, 1977, when the National Center for Science and Technology was initiated as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to establish a dedicated scientific and technological research ecosystem.
The institution later developed into King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, adopting its current name on December 31, 1985.
