The Madinah Region Equestrian Field was founded in 2018 at Al-Suwaidirah on the Qassim highway, about 60 kilometres east of Madinah, and is the largest in the Western Region, with a racecourse, a public stand and stabling and saddling facilities.
Under the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia, the field runs an annual season from November to spring with weekly meetings of five to six races over 1,200 and 1,400 metres, including qualifiers for the major cups and a race for women riders; the 2024/2025 season opened on 29 November 2024.
