Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in the Mohammed bin Saud district on King Fahd Road at Dammam's south-eastern entrance opened on 27 Dhu al-Qadah 1392 AH (1 January 1973) in the reign of King Faisal, on a 105,929-square-metre site with a natural-turf pitch, an athletics track, a training pitch, a VIP building, a mosque, five main gates and parking for more than 800 cars, seating about 35,000 spectators.
The stadium hosts the matches of Al-Ettifaq and Al-Nahda in Saudi competitions, staged the AFC U-20 Championship in 2008, and is listed in the AFC Asian Cup 2027 hosting plan with a redevelopment that redesigns the stands and removes the running track.
