Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Sports City in the Al-Salam district, west of Madinah, opened in the late 1970s in the reign of King Khalid on 160,000 square metres and is overseen by the Ministry of Sport. Its main stadium seats about 24,000 spectators with natural turf and a running track and is the home ground of Al-Ansar Club; the complex also includes an indoor hall, a theatre, an administration building, a mosque and outdoor pitches.
Besides matches, the sports city hosted the Saqr Robotics Championship 2026 with 217 teams, and the region's official celebrations.
