Cultural Development Fund Hosts "Future of Film" Gathering Alongside Red Sea Film Festival
Jeddah, December 10, 2025
The Cultural Development Fund held a "Future of Film" gathering alongside the fifth edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors and leading filmmakers from within the Kingdom and abroad, aiming to showcase financial solutions and investment opportunities that support the growth of the film sector and its productions.
The gathering saw the signing of credit-facility agreements under the Cultural Financing Programme worth more than SAR 60 million, supporting six quality projects in the film sector, including feature-film production and support for developing film-sector infrastructure.
The event was held in cooperation with the Red Sea International Film Festival and BSF Capital, during which the Cultural Development Fund reviewed key future investment directions in the film sector, alongside funds in which it participates as a lead investor, most notably the Riviera Content Fund — the first of its kind in the Kingdom, sized at SAR 375 million — and the second film-sector investment fund, whose founding agreement was signed during the first edition of the Cultural Investment Conference and which is managed by BSF Capital, also sized at SAR 375 million.
The gathering reflects the Cultural Development Fund's role as a center of excellence and financial empowerment in the cultural sector, promoting cultural entrepreneurship, supporting sector businesses, and attracting local and international investment, contributing to raising the sector's economic and social impact and supporting its contribution to GDP and quality of life, in line with Saudi Vision 2030's goals.
