The Al-Ghada Festival in Unaizah continues its varied winter programme at its site in the Al-Ghada area, offering an entertainment and cultural experience that brings together heritage, art and nature in an inviting atmosphere drawing visitors from inside and outside the governorate.
Organised by the Unaizah Tourism Cooperative Society and running for 12 days, the festival offers activities for the whole family. Highlights include the Thamudic zone, displaying historic rocks from the Thamudic era, and the Al-Ghada planting initiative, which lets visitors plant trees to support environmental sustainability, alongside an artisans' zone and spaces for live painting and interactive art experiences.
The festival also features a classic car zone, a folk arts zone and a cultural tent hosting cultural and poetry activities involving the governorate's young people. Bandar bin Fahd Al-Junaini, the society's executive director, said the festival has created local jobs and offers a complete winter carnival combining culture, heritage and entertainment, as part of efforts to stimulate domestic tourism and enhance quality of life in Qassim.
