The Jazan Region Municipality and its affiliated municipalities have launched a package of varied initiatives and events for the holy month of Ramadan, as part of efforts to strengthen the Ramadan atmosphere, improve the urban scene and activate community and entertainment activities across the Jazan region and its governorates.

The municipality said the initiatives include 26 Ramadan markets, 9 sporting and cultural tournaments and competitions, the preparation of 450 parks and pitches to welcome visitors, and the readying of 534 mosque courtyards to accommodate worshippers during the holy month.

The efforts also included decoration work at 2,175 sites across streets and squares, reflecting the spirituality of the holy month and giving public facilities an aesthetic character, along with the distribution of 50,000 iftar meals at a number of sites in support of social solidarity initiatives.

The Jazan Municipality affirmed its commitment to integrated municipal services, prepared public facilities and intensified inspection rounds, helping to deliver a distinctive experience for residents and visitors during Ramadan and enhance quality of life in the region.
