Makkah, 28 Sha'ban 1447 AH (16 February 2026)

The "Volunteer Efforts Forum for Serving Pilgrims" opened yesterday at the Hira Cultural District in Makkah, organized by the Haramain Volunteer Center in partnership with the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development and the Nusuk Humanitarian Foundation, with experts and specialists in the pilgrim services ecosystem.

The forum presents successful experiences in integrating technology into volunteer management, activating professional volunteering models and creating value in the volunteer experience, along with the signing of cooperation agreements and the honoring of outstanding initiatives in serving pilgrims.

It aims to maximize the non-profit sector's role in serving pilgrims, develop innovative and sustainable working models that raise service quality, and strengthen institutional integration in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

The first day saw the launch of the "Innovation Lab", specialized workshops and field tours for volunteer teams, aimed at identifying field needs and developing quality initiatives that elevate the pilgrim experience and strengthen integration among non-profit institutions and the relevant bodies.

The forum included two main seminars: "Partnership and Integration in Achieving National Transformation in Serving Pilgrims" and "The Economics of the Non-Profit Sector in Serving Pilgrims: Engineering the Value Delivered", with leaders from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, along with partner bodies.
