40 Multilingual Interactive Screens Spread Reliable Religious Content in the Two Holy Mosques
Makkah, 5 Ramadan 1447 AH (22 February 2026)
The Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque is intensifying its technical and awareness efforts during Ramadan through an integrated system of smart, multilingual interactive screens that broadcast reliable religious and guidance content at multiple sites inside the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, as part of its mission to serve visitors and enrich their experience of faith during the holy month.
The initiative, delivered by the presidency's Intellectual Security Agency, responds to the large crowds the Two Holy Mosques see during Ramadan, giving visitors and Umrah performers quick access to fatwas and religious guidance in their own languages, raising religious awareness, correcting misconceptions and enabling visitors to perform their worship with insight and peace of mind.
Sheikh Ali bin Hamed Al Nafei, Deputy for Intellectual and Awareness Affairs, said the interactive screens are one of the modern technical channels the presidency has harnessed to serve pilgrims during the holy month, offering reliable, accessible religious content that respects the diversity of languages and cultures and promotes the values of moderation and balance.
He said the screens number more than 40 and offer varied religious content in more than 50 world languages, spread across key sites inside the Grand Mosque including the Mataf expansion, the Saudi Riwaq, the King Fahd expansion and the third Saudi expansion.
He said the step is part of an integrated digital system the presidency is running during the Ramadan season to raise awareness services and use modern technology in spreading sound religious knowledge, under the direction of HE Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al Sudais, President of Religious Affairs.
He noted that the number of people served by the interactive screens since the start of Muharram has passed 50,000, an average of around 250 a day, a sign of the initiative's effectiveness and its widening awareness and knowledge impact inside the Two Holy Mosques.
